Manufacturer: Centurion Laboratories, India
Pharmaceutical name: Sildenafil Citrate
The primary ingredient in Cenforce is Sildenafil Citrate. This substance falls under the category of phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. It is typically prescribed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (male impotence). Sildenafil Citrate influences the body's response to sexual arousal. By utilizing a compound known as nitric oxide, it promotes the relaxation of smooth muscles, facilitating greater blood flow to the penis, aiding in the achievement and retention of an erection. Additionally, Sildenafil Citrate can be utilized for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.

The advised dosage is 50 mg, which should be taken 30-60 minutes prior to engaging in sexual activity. Depending on the side effects experienced, the dose may be adjusted to either 100 mg or 25 mg. The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg, and it is advised not to take Cenforce more than once daily. It is best to avoid high-fat meals, grapefruit, and grapefruit juices while using this medication.

Before beginning treatment with Cenforce, inform your doctor or healthcare provider about any known allergies. Individuals in middle age may experience heightened sensitivity to the medication's side effects. Cenforce could potentially cause dizziness or visual disturbances. It is advisable to limit alcohol consumption. Before taking Cenforce, make sure to share your medical history with your physician or pharmacist, particularly concerning: sickle cell disease, abnormal blood pressure (high or low), severe dehydration, history of painful or prolonged erections (priapism), vision issues, heart conditions, kidney disorders, liver issues, pulmonary edema, or abnormalities in penis shape (such as angulation, fibrosis/scarring, or Peyronie's disease). Note that Sildenafil does not provide protection against sexually transmitted infections such as HIV.

Cenforce should not be combined with other erectile dysfunction treatments or nitrates, as these combinations may lead to a significant drop in blood pressure, resulting in dizziness, fainting, heart attacks, or strokes. The medication is also unsuitable for women, children, or individuals who are sensitive to any of its ingredients.

Common side effects include upset stomach, headaches, flushing, heartburn, nasal congestion, dizziness, diarrhea, irregular heart rhythms, shortness of breath, or prolonged (lasting over 4 hours) or painful erections. Visual changes such as increased light sensitivity and blurred vision may also occur. Serious allergic reactions are infrequent. This list is not exhaustive; if you experience any additional side effects not mentioned, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Cenforce should not be used in conjunction with nitrates, recreational drugs containing amyl or butyl nitrite, alpha-blockers, other impotence medications, or antihypertensives. Grapefruit juice may increase the levels of sildenafil in the bloodstream, while a high-fat meal may diminish its effectiveness. For more information, discuss with your doctor or pharmacist.

Cenforce is taken as needed, making it unlikely that a dose will be missed. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention. Signs of an overdose may include chest pain, nausea, irregular heartbeats, and feelings of light-headedness or faintness.

Store Cenforce at room temperature, between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C), away from light and moisture. Avoid storing it in the bathroom and ensure all medications are kept out of reach of children and pets.
